Join Our Team as a Peer Support Specialist!
Are you passionate about helping others on their journey to wellness and recovery? Do you have personal experience with mental health challenges and a desire to support others facing similar struggles? If so, we want you to join our team as a Peer Support Specialist at CarePerks LLC in Tucker, GA.
Job Responsibilities:- Provide non-clinical, recovery-oriented support to individuals receiving services
- Share personal experiences, offer encouragement, and serve as a role model for peers
- Assist individuals in setting and achieving their personal recovery goals
- Facilitate peer support groups and one-on-one peer support sessions
- Advocate for the needs and rights of individuals with mental health challenges
- Personal lived experience with mental health challenges
- Completion of Peer Support Specialist training program
- Strong communication and active listening skills
- Empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental attitude
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
