Job Title: CNC Machine Operator

Job Type : Temp-to-Hire; This role offers positions for Entry-Level Trainees and Experienced Machinists

Location: Athens, GA

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC vertical and horizontal machines
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
• Perform daily machine checks and report issues as needed
• Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges) to ensure quality
• Adjust machine settings, feeds, and speeds as needed
• Replace dull cutting tools and perform basic troubleshooting
• Monitor machine performance and detect irregularities
• Maintain clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE
• Meet production goals related to efficiency and quality

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints (preferred)
• Experience with CNC machines and measuring tools (preferred)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
• Frequent walking, climbing, bending, and reaching
• Manual dexterity to operate machinery and inspect parts
• Visual ability to read gauges and distinguish colors

Training & Advancement

• 90-day structured training program (day shift)
• Opportunity to advance to CNC Operator Level I, II, or III based on performance
• Ongoing training and skill development opportunities

Work Environment

• Manufacturing/production setting
• Exposure to machinery, noise, and moving equipment
• Safety-focused environment with required PPE
