Warehouse Dispatcher

Position Summary:

The Warehouse Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and dispatching the movement of containers and freight within and outside the warehouse. This role ensures efficient scheduling, communication with drivers and carriers, and accurate recordkeeping to optimize warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Schedule and dispatch inbound and outbound containers, ensuring timely and efficient movement.

2. Communicate with drivers, carriers, and warehouse staff to coordinate pickups and deliveries.

3. Monitor and adjust schedules based on shipment priorities and unexpected changes.

4. Maintain constant communication with drivers and warehouse personnel to provide real-time updates.

5. Track shipments and report any delays or issues to the appropriate personnel.

6. Ensure compliance with delivery schedules and customer requirements.

7. Prepare and maintain accurate dispatch records, including container movements, arrival times, and delivery confirmations.

8. Ensure all paperwork (BOLs, manifests, packing lists) is correctly completed and filed.

9. Update systems with shipment details, statuses, and any relevant notes.

10. Address any issues with transportation delays, warehouse space constraints, or driver availability.

11. Work with warehouse and logistics teams to optimize efficiency and reduce turnaround times.

12. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and DOT regulations.

13. Experience in dispatching, warehouse coordination, or logistics preferred.

14. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

15. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

16. Proficiency in dispatching software, Microsoft Office, and warehouse management systems.

17. Knowledge of freight and transportation regulations is a plus.

Education/Experience

· High School Diploma or GED

· Experience in dispatching, warehouse coordination, or logistics preferred.

· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

· Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Proficiency in dispatching software, Microsoft Office, and warehouse management systems.

· Knowledge of freight and transportation regulations is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
