We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Commercial Lines Assistant to support the daily service and administrative needs of a growing independent insurance agency. This role focuses on commercial insurance servicing, renewals, documentation, and follow-up to support producers and improve workflow efficiency.
Schedule:
Part-time: approximately 1525 hours per week
Flexible schedule during standard business hours
Remote work preferred

Responsibilities- Prepare and issue Certificates of Insurance (COIs)
- Assist with commercial policy renewals, including gathering information and preparing submissions
- Complete and process ACORD applications
- Handle policy endorsements (simple changes such as address updates, vehicle changes, payroll revisions)
- Assist with quoting small-dollar / low-complexity commercial policies
- Follow up on late payments, outstanding documents, and carrier requests
- Assist with premium finance agreements and payment collection
- Maintain accurate and organized client files in the agency management system
- Communicate professionally with clients, carriers, and internal team members
Prior experience in commercial insurance service or support
- Knowledge of ACORD forms and COIs
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Preferred (Not Required)
- Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license
- Experience with independent insurance agencies
- Familiarity with agency management systems (Applied Epic, EZLynx, AMS, etc.)
- Experience quoting small commercial accounts
