LED FastStart is currently sourcing skilled and experienced Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanics on behalf of several employers in the MRO space throughout the state of Louisiana. These A&P mechanics are required to perform inspections, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of aircraft. The A&P Mechanic plays a crucial role in ensuring the airworthiness and reliability of aircraft, making this position vital to the safety of aviation operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine and non-routine inspections of aircraft, engines, and related components to identify and rectify mechanical, structural, and electrical issues.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on airframes, engines, landing gear, and aircraft systems following established maintenance manuals, technical data, and safety procedures.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex aircraft systems and components to identify and resolve issues effectively.
• Overhaul and repair aircraft components, such as engines, hydraulic systems, and avionics equipment.
• Replace or repair defective parts, including the removal and installation of aircraft components.
• Perform required documentation, recordkeeping, and compliance with all applicable FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) regulations.
• Collaborate with other team members, including engineers and inspectors, to ensure work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment and ensure proper tool and equipment maintenance.
• Participate in training and stay up-to-date with industry advancements, regulations, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic certificate issued by the FAA.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, structures, and components.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and blueprints.
• Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and compliance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
