• Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Hours: 36 hours/week (3x12s)
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Unit: 718A Bone Marrow Transplant
• Local Policy: No local candidates within 50 miles

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Bone Marrow Transplant unit. This is an inpatient isolation unit providing intermediate-level care to patients undergoing advanced hematology and oncology treatments.

The RN will care for patients receiving:

• Bone marrow and stem cell transplants
• Chemotherapy
• Immunotherapy
• Cell therapy
• Blood product transfusions

This unit maintains low nurse-to-patient ratios to support high-acuity patient care and complex treatment needs.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience within Bone Marrow Transplant or related specialty
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Preferred certifications:
  • ACLS
  • Chemotherapy certification
  • NIHSS
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to BMT and oncology patients
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and blood products per protocol
• Monitor patients for treatment reactions and complications
• Maintain infection prevention and isolation precautions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support transplant care
• Accurately document patient care in Cerner EMR
