Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Field Maintenance Worker to support the upkeep of Georgia Power Plants and substations. The ideal candidate will perform routine landscape maintenance, including grass cutting, weed control, and pesticide application, ensuring all areas remain well-maintained and in compliance with safety standards. This role requires a commitment to safety, and the ability to work in varying weather conditions and outdoor environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform grounds maintenance tasks, including mowing, trimming, and edging using weedeaters, zero-turn mowers, slope mowers, and tractors
• Spray and treat substations and surrounding grounds for weed and pest control
• Operate and maintain landscaping tools, machinery, and equipment
• Attend daily safety meetings and follow all safety guidelines and company protocols to ensure a safe working environment
• Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team setting

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to operate weedeaters, zero-turn mowers, slope mowers, tractors, and other landscaping equipment
• Experience with pesticide and herbicide application a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in team setting
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions and lift heavy equipment
• Valid drivers license required; ability to travel to different locations as needed
