Job Summary

The Finished Product Packer is responsible for operating and monitoring both manual and automated production equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role supports production efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety while working under the direct supervision of the Production Supervisor.

 

Job Description

  • Follow all safety procedures, plant rules, and promptly report near misses or unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report any issues or deficiencies.
  • Pack 25 kg (55 lbs.) bags, handling up to 600 bags per 12-hour shift.
  • Assist with related production processes, including presses, bag filters, and material refeed systems.
  • Clean equipment during process changes and between production batches.
  • Support Production Supervisor and other operators (Dry and Wet End) as needed.
  • Collect product samples throughout the production process and ensure proper identification.
  • Accurately label product bags to maintain traceability.
  • Complete required documentation and production records with accuracy.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

 

Skills Required

  • Frequent lifting (34–66% of the workday), up to 55 lbs. repeatedly
  • Constant standing (66–100% of the workday)
  • Frequent stair climbing (approximately 3 flights, up to 12 times per day)
  • Frequent overhead reaching (34–66% of the workday)
  • Continuous use of upper extremities (67–100% of the workday)
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts
  • Comfortable working on grated flooring at heights of up to three stories
  • Strong attention to safety and detail
  • Mechanical aptitude is an asset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Shift: M - F 6 AM - 6 PM

 

Education

  • Hig hschool diploma / GED required

 

Salary

  • $18.50 per ho ur (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
