SUMMARY :
Ø Ensures elevated levels of customer satisfaction while supervising direct installation work on Panel Built products, specifically Knock-Down (KD) and Mezzanine projects.
Ø Leads a team of authorized subcontractors. Focused on: quality, cost control, on-time completion, safety, customer satisfaction and employee relations.
Ø Extensive travel required (90%+).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Ø Works collaboratively with subcontractors through the installation lifecycle: planning, material handling and transportation, on-site execution and Customer sign off.
Ø Maintains strict adherence to quality, cost control, complete/on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, and employee relations.
Ø Read and implement designs and drawings from electronic and paper files.
Ø Delivers proactive and reactive communications as related to installation activities.
Ø Address and resolve any on-site issues, including delays, conflicts, or unforeseen challenges.
Ø Lead and promote a culture of safety as #1 priority.
Ø Assists Panel Built leaders in the development and formulation of long- and short-range planning, policies, programs, and objectives.
Ø Create and manage schedules from job turnover until project completion and sign off.
Ø Monitor budgets and address concerns for over budget items with management.
Ø Required to produce a “lessons learned” report for each completed job.
Ø Travel is required ~ 90%+.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Hiring, coaching, teaching, training, and disciplinary in collaboration with subcontractor leaders.
Requirements:QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Ø Exceptional analytical and problem-solving ability.
Ø Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents.
Ø Ability to work independently.
Ø Demonstrate proficiency in both oral and written communication.
Ø 7 years of proven construction management experience, emphasis on commercial/industrial buildings.
Ø Maintain effective, readily accessible files and records of job reports.
Ø Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and outside vendors/customers.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend complex Instructions, correspondence, and memos in the English language. Conversational Spanish a plus.
CONSTRUCTION SKILLS
Ability to read and implement blueprints and fabrication drawings.
Experience with typical commercial/industrial installation tools, including, but not limited to hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and safety equipment (PPE).
COMPUTER SKILLS
Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, File Maker Pro, Outlook, NetSuite, Microsoft Project
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to conduct complex instructions.
Ability to discern when other parties need to be involved in validating priorities.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Ø Valid Driver’s License.
Ø DOT Certification.
Ø OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ø Walking, standing for extended periods.
Ø Sitting, squatting, crawling, kneeling and other physical activities.
Ø Must be able to work in adverse outdoor environments (heat, cold, rain, snow, wind).
Ø Access various areas on the location (stairs, ladders, scaffolding).
Ø Lifting to fifty pounds independently.
