Assurance Senior (Atlanta)

TRC Talent Solutions is partnering with a respected and growing public accounting firm to identify an Assurance Senior to join their audit practice. This role offers direct client exposure, technical accounting responsibility, and leadership development within a collaborative environment that emphasizes long-term career growth and sustainable workload balance.

Summary

This position is responsible for leading and executing audit and assurance engagements across a diverse client base, including manufacturing, construction, real estate, hospitality, professional services, and not-for-profit organizations. The role involves full-cycle audit execution, financial statement preparation, technical accounting research, and supervision of junior staff while working closely with managers and partners.

Responsibilities

• Execute all phases of audit and assurance engagements, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting

• Perform risk assessments and design audit procedures in accordance with AICPA standards

• Prepare and review audit workpapers for accuracy and compliance

• Draft and review financial statements and GAAP-compliant disclosures

• Conduct technical accounting research and communicate findings to leadership

• Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns

• Manage day-to-day client communication and build strong client relationships

• Provide engagement status updates and support overall audit delivery and deadlines

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

• 3+ years of public accounting audit experience

• Strong understanding of GAAP and auditing standards (AICPA)

• CPA license completed or in progress preferred

• Experience across multiple industries (manufacturing, construction, real estate, etc.) a plus

• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines in a client-facing environment
