Evening Dish Washer 7:30pm-Close (10:45/11pm)
This position requires someone who likes to pursue excellence, is detail oriented, committed to food safety and can work in a fast pace environment. This job involves ensuring a constant supply of clean dishes and utensils as well as closing down all kitchen dishes by following our procedures for washing and sanitizing them and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Dish washers are essential to the kitchen's food safety and efficiency, and ensuring the kitchen closes in a timely manner. Prior experience is preferred, but not necessarily required. In order to fulfill the requirements needed for this position, the applicant must have a commitment to excellence. This means being there for all of your shifts and arriving on time, utilizing time management skills while working in order to ensure closing on time, and being committed to food safety and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining Cleanliness: Washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils, and ensuring they are properly sanitized.
- Work Area Organization: Keeping the dishwashing station and surrounding areas clean and organized.
- Food Safety: Following proper food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Teamwork: Working with other kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Maintaining Equipment: Ensuring dishwashing equipment is clean and in working order, reporting any issues to management.
Skills and Qualities:
- Reliability: Being on time for shifts and consistently meeting expectations.
- Time Management: Being able to work efficiently and manage time effectively. Setting the pace for the kitchen crew to be out on time.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring all items are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Doing everything with excellence.
- Positive Attitude: Maintaining a positive and helpful attitude towards other team members.
- Communication Skills: Being able to communicate effectively with other kitchen staff.
