TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Hospice RN in Augusta, Georgia, 30907!
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Hospice Duration: 12 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Hours (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: 2 Years Minimum License: Nursing License Required Certifications: BLS Required Must-Have: - Ability to communicate effectively with patients and clinical staff. - Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently. - Experience in home health or hospice settings. Description: Minimum experience required is 2 years. First-time travelers are not accepted. The patient population includes adults to geriatrics. Candidates must have strong communication skills with patients, clinical staff, and office personnel. The ratio is approximately 1 nurse to 10 patients, with an average daily census of 100. Candidates are expected to conduct around 6 visits per day. Clinical systems used include HCHB and iPrescribe. Floating within facility or scope of practice may be required as needed. Call requirements entail backup approximately 2 days a month on weekends. Candidates must be prepared to work holidays as scheduled. If assigned to a major holiday, the traveler is expected to work it. If three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them. Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time. Clinical screens will be conducted on a case-by-case basis to ensure clinical fit. Candidates should possess knowledge of pain management, end-of-life care, and other hospice-related skills. Reinforcement of spiritual needs and family support is essential in patient care. Utilization of pain scales for assessment and intervention is a critical skill. Knowledge of Medicare state regulations is required.
