Chief Information Officer (Atlanta)

Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia and founded in 1993, Precision Aviation Group (PAG) is a leading provider of maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) and value-added supply chain services to the aerospace and defense industries. With 25 FAA-approved repair stations, 27 locations worldwide, over 1,000 employees, and over 1.2 million square feet of production/distribution facilities, PAG offers comprehensive MRO services on over 200,000 product lines.

Job Purpose

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) plays a key role in driving PAG's growth and profitability by overseeing all Information Technology (IT) activities. This role is responsible for providing frontline support to employees, while collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure the strategic direction of the IT department aligns with the organizations goals. The CIO must ensure that PAG's IT systems remain up-to-date, competitive, and capable of supporting the companys evolving needs. This individual will also focus on delivering a high-quality user experience for all employees and stakeholders relying on PAG's IT infrastructure. Additionally, the CIO will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team to develop long-term IT strategies and collaborate with Business Unit Leaders to implement key initiatives.

Essential Functions

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee all aspects of IT planning, including systems design, application development, installation, and operations.
• Lead business planning from an IT perspective, bringing a forward-looking vision of technology to enhance PAGs competitive position.
• Develop long-term IT strategies to meet the organization's information needs, including systems development, hardware acquisition, and integration.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for non-technical users, assisting in planning and development of IT systems.
• Review and evaluate project feasibility studies, implementing information systems that meet the corporation's priorities and requirements.
• Ensure the integrity of organization-wide data, proprietary information, and intellectual property through information security and access management.
• Develop and implement strategies to ensure successful integration of software and hardware.
• Establish annual IT improvement and installation plans, ensuring strategic timing and budget alignment.
• Lead the proactive development of systems to meet user needs, including the creation of action plans.
• Oversee IT project management, including assessment, prioritization, problem-solving, and follow-through.
• Maintain IT records to track, review, and adjust business initiative performance.
• Analyze IT trends and prepare reports with recommendations based on findings.
• Ensure alignment with Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) and NIST 800-171 standards.
• Collaborate effectively with internal and external partners and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical personnel.

• General office administrative duties as needed.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office software applications.
• Ability to make sound decisions and demonstrate good judgment.

Safety Requirements

• Support safety initiatives, safe work practices, and compliance.
• Participate in safety activities, including hazard reporting and injury/incident management.
• Follow all safety rules, including FAA regulations and PPE requirements.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Physical Demands: Requires extended periods of sitting or standing. Frequent walking, bending, and reaching. Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.
• Equipment Operated: Office machines and equipment troubleshooting.
• Work Location: PAG Office, Lake Mirror Road, Atlanta, GA.
• Protective Equipment: None required.
• Potential Hazards: Possible exposure to materials listed on Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Education/Training: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Masters degree is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible IT experience, ideally in a complex, multi-system, and multi-location environment within the manufacturing or logistics sector.
• Certificates/Licenses: None required.

Other Responsibilities: Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support the department or organization. Flexibility may be required due to varying working conditions or time zone differences.
