Full-time Maintenance Technician (2nd/3rd Shift)Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team on a full-time basis for the 2nd/3rd shift. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance, with expertise in troubleshooting, HVAC systems, and general facility maintenance. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility by maintaining, repairing, and optimizing equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance on various industrial equipment, machinery, and systems
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues
- Repair and maintain HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, and air handling units
- Conduct regular inspections of facility equipment and infrastructure
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls and resolve issues efficiently
- Install, modify, and upgrade equipment and systems as needed
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Collaborate with other departments to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency
- Train and mentor junior maintenance staff as required
- 5-15 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related field
- Proficiency in troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical systems
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and their maintenance
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and procedures
- Experience with industrial equipment such as pumps, motors, and conveyor systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- Proficient in using various hand and power tools
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification preferred
- Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a related field
- Certifications in specific areas such as HVAC, electrical systems, or industrial maintenance
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Knowledge of energy management and conservation practices
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
