Maintenance Electrical Technician - Food Manufacturing (NIGHTS)

Title: Maintenance Technician - Food Manufacturing
Location: McDonough, GA 30253 (Southeast Atlanta)
Hourly: $32 - $40 / Hour + Overtime (Target earnings $80,000 - $100,000 or above)

Working Hours: 2-2-3 SHIFT 4pm-4am

Founded in 1986 we are a 650 employee manufacturer of frozen pancakes operating 2 facilities (1 in Little Rock, AR and the other here in McDonough, GA) serving customers all across the US, Canada & Mexico. Our headcount has increased 17% over the past 2 years as we continue to expand our product line and increase our market share in the space. For our facility in McDonough we are targeting to hire a Maintenance Technician who can work 2nd shift OR night shift that has strong maintenance & electrical experience dealing with PLC systems, preventative maintenance, HVAC systems & Ammonia .

What You Will Be Doing

• Troubleshoot & maintain plant machinery i.e. mixers, conveyors, compressors, motors & pumps
• Troubleshoot or replace electrical control devices i.e. switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters as needed
• Troubleshoot or replace hydraulic, pneumatic & basic electrical power components
• Troubleshoot & repair equipment by utilizing PLC's (Allen Bradley) & other multiple automated control systems
• Use RS Logix & ability to read ladder logic
• Preform work order repairs, inspections & adjustments along w/ preventative maintenance
• Work closely w/ production & refrigeration personnel to resolve plant & process problems
• Assist management in developing SOPs & duty cycles for repairs & maintenance
• Interpret specifications, schematics, operating & maintenance manuals

What You Need for this Position

• 5+ years as a Maintenance Technician (ideally in the food & beverage manufacturing space)
• Strong exposure with Ammonia
• Experience using electrical meters, maintenance tools & MS Office
• Electrical, PLC, pneumatic & mechanical skillset
• Strong background with HVAC systems
• Ability to work 2nd shift OR night shift
