Lead Cook, Capolinea - Signia by Hilton Atlanta

Signia by Hilton Atlanta is searching for a talented Lead Cook to help lead the team at Capolinea! This is a 976-room property with over 140,000 sq. ft. in banquet space and 8 unique F&B outlets!

Capolinea - Located on the fourth floor, guests arriving to the space – whether by escalator or elevator – are greeted by a vision of the display kitchen where pasta is fatto a mano. The bar’s vibrant scene carries the energy throughout the space, continuing through the main dining zone and culminating in an outdoor terrace adorned with greenery and curated lighting. This destination restaurant attracts guests for all occasions, from a business gathering to anniversary celebration.

The ideal candidate will hold a minimum 3-5 years of professional cooking experience, proficiency in all stations, knowledge of elevated service standards and cuisine, high-volume experience, and strong communication skills. Prior experience with Italian cuisine and a hotel background is preferred.

Shift Pattern: PM Shifts/ Full availability is needed including weekdays, weekends, and holidays

Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour

What will I be doing?

As a Lead Cook, you would be responsible for overseeing and participating in the preparation of food items in accordance with recipes and established standards in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Oversee and prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
• Oversee and maintain cleanliness and food sanitation
• Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
• Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products
• Stock and maintain par levels for designated food station(s)
• Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen
• Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
• Assist in monitoring and developing team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, assisting with evaluations, training, scheduling and assigning work and delivering recognition and reward
• Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items, as needed
