Accounts Receivable and Collections Specialist
Position summary:
- Ensure the timely and accurate processing of all invoices and payments using existing technology.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create tenant and corporate invoices for services provided (recurring and one time).
- Process tenant and corporate payments (lockbox, ACH, Paymode X and regular checks) and deposits.
- Monitor Outstanding A/R and follow up as necessary.
- Work with internal and external contacts to speed up collections for M&O LLC.
- Reach out to customers via email, phone or mail to discuss payment options.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Reconcile and invoice client and tenant bill-back accounts.
- Generate and send corporate and client AR reports.
- Assist with the bank reconciliation process.
- Assist with monthly rent escalation process.
- Respond to tenant billing questions as required.
- Assist with related special projects as required.
- Assist property managers with various questions and/or projects.
- Maintain accurate tenant and client information in accounting software.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement related to Accounts Receivable.
- Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Ability to solve complex problems related to job responsibilities and requirements.
- MRI Experience Preferred
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a college or university; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
