We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our Support Center Team in Woodstock, Georgia. Position Summary:

The staff accountant will be a key member of the accounting department for one of the largest and fastest growing private homebuilders in the Southeast.

Essential Functions: Core duties or tasks fundamental and not marginal to the performance of the job.

1. Create home closing journal entries
2. Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information
3. Review general ledger accounts; prepares adjusting entries as necessary
4. Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting
5. Reconcile inter-company transactions
6. Reconcile balance sheet accounts
7. Other special projects and ad hoc reporting as needed

Minimum Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

Experience: Up to 2 years general accounting experience. Residential construction or similar industry a plus.

Computer Skills: Intermediate Excel; Advanced Accounting System experience - Microsoft Business Central (BC) a plus.
