MHI is seeking a Shop Foreman who brings strong technical ability, leads by example, and is committed to maintaining a safe, efficient, and high-performing shop environment. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving complex problems, and is ready to step into a leadership role while remaining hands-on.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and process-driven , with the ability to guide technicians, ensure quality work, and uphold safety standards across all shop operations.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on equipment
  • Lead by example in safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company safety policies and procedures
  • Identify and address potential safety risks within the shop
  • Support and guide technicians in troubleshooting and repair processes
  • Train and mentor less experienced technicians
  • Help manage workflow, priorities, and shop organization
  • Review completed work to ensure accuracy, completeness, and safety compliance
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Communicate effectively with service management and team members

  • High-quality repairs and strong first-time fix rates
  • Consistent adherence to safety standards and compliance requirements
  • Reduced safety incidents and proactive hazard identification

Background & Experience
  • Strong experience in forklift, heavy equipment, or industrial repair
  • Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Proven ability to perform high-quality repairs independently
  • Experience or willingness to lead safety initiatives and enforce compliance
  • Interest or experience in mentoring or training others
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
