Role Overview:
As the VP of Technology, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our company. Reporting directly to the Chief Strategy Officer, you will work alongside the existing team to drive our technical strategy, oversee software development, and lead a talented team of engineers and technologists. This role will be instrumental in transforming our vision into tangible, game-changing technology solutions.
What You'll Do:
- Technical Leadership: Define and execute the company's technical vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Help manage internal software, website, and overall technology stack development to ensure stability, speed to market, and proper QA testing.
- Team Building: Recruit, manage, and mentor a high-performing team of software engineers, technologists, and other technical professionals.
- Work with the existing team to optimize data imports, storage, security, availability, and documentation.
- Product Development: Lead the development and deployment of innovative products, leveraging cutting-edge technologies.
- Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation, research, and development to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
- Technical Architecture: Define and maintain the technical architecture of our technology, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Quality Assurance: Assist with quality control and testing processes to deliver high-quality, reliable technology
- Technology Partnerships: Identify and establish strategic partnerships and collaborations with technology vendors and industry leaders.
- Budget Management: Manage the technical budget effectively, ensuring optimal ROI on technology investments.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure the company's technology practices adhere to relevant security and compliance standards.
- Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate technical strategies, progress, and results to executive leadership and other stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; Master's or Ph.D. is a plus.
- Proven track record of success in senior technical leadership roles with at least 10 years of experience.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with willingness to work alongside the team
- Exceptional strategic thinking, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in technology trends, innovations, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for technology and a commitment to driving results.
