Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to join our Corporate Tax Solutions team. This role focuses on corporate income tax planning, compliance, and ASC 740 income tax accounting (tax provision preparation, review, and audit support).

The selected candidate will manage multiple client engagements, serve as a primary tax contact, and collaborate with internal specialists, including the Washington National Tax Office (WNTO), to deliver comprehensive tax solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead tax engagements from planning through completion, managing scope and budget

• Review corporate tax returns and identify tax planning opportunities

• Oversee ASC 740 income tax provision engagements (preparation, review, audit support)

• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate associates and senior associates

• Research complex tax matters and provide technical guidance

• Respond to IRS and state tax authority inquiries

• Utilize tax software (OneSource Tax Provision preferred)

• Build and maintain strong client relationships

• Identify opportunities for additional client services

• Participate in ongoing professional development and training

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

• Active CPA (Georgia or eligible for reciprocity) or JD with active law license

• 4-7 years of progressive tax compliance and/or consulting experience

• Strong corporate tax compliance and ASC 740 provision experience (prep, review, audit)

• Recent public accounting experience with a Top 15 firm

• Experience supporting large, multi-state, national, or global companies

• Proficiency in US GAAP and corporate income tax regulations

• Willingness to work onsite at least 3 days per week

• Ability to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with OneSource Tax Provision (OTP)

• Knowledge of state and local taxes, international taxation, and transfer pricing

• Professional services background

• Stable career progression (minimal job changes over the past 10 years)

Industry Exposure

Open to candidates with experience supporting clients in manufacturing, technology, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, consulting, engineering, telecommunications, transportation, or distribution sectors.
