Position Summary:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operates Offline Die Cutter Machine to develop material in accordance with customer specifications:

· Operate Die Cutter machine, troubleshoot and monitor operation.

· Prepares Die Cutter by performing a variety of tasks to produce a consistent, high quality product by adjusting the die and register for pressure and cutting.

· Perform a variety of make ready tasks for high productivity and precision operations, resolves defects and adjustments to produce high quality product.

· Oversee General technicians working on equipment.

· Make adjustments, clear jams, while processing product, maintaining speed and quality.

· Ensure efficient and rapid make ready, with unloading and loading.

QUALITY:

· Ensure quality of jobs completed by reviewing for quality and accuracy.

· Makes sure jobs are complete and error free.

· Ensures finished product exceeds customer expectations.

· Ensure all checklists are completed.

· Support and communicate all ISO standards and quality objectives.

SAFETY:

· Ensures complete adherence and compliance to the OSHA Guidelines. Assists team members in maintaining clean and safe environment.

· Maintains and follows all company policies and procedures for safety, personal protection and hazard materials/waste handling according to established guidelines.

· Follows all personal protection procedures by use of appropriate PPE at all times.

· Follows established procedures and guidelines for the handling and disposal of all hazardous materials/waste.

· Maintains and wears proper uniform according to company policy.

· Use Company provided safety lifting equipment, i.e., hoist, jacks, vacuum manipulators, etc.

· Properly stores and arranges work area to maintain cleanliness and safe environment following all safety rules and regulations for grounding, storage, spill clean-up, etc.

· Interacts with the team and co-workers in a way that promotes respect, encourages cooperation and contributes to excellent performance

· Communicates accurate information to all team members in a professional and courteous manner that conveys a willingness to assist.

· Accepts direction and feedback from supervisor and follows through appropriately.

REQUIREMENTS:

· High School diploma (or GED).

· Minimum of 3 years of offline Die Cutting experience in the folding carton industry

· Must have experience with die cutters that have blanking capability

· Must have interpersonal and communication skills.

· Must possess basic computer skills and mathematical skills necessary to compute percentages, weights and measures.

· Must be able to perform any and all work or additional tasks as required or requested by Department Leads, Shift Leads, or Management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· This position requires prolonged periods of standing, stooping, bending and/or reaching, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching with hands and arms, hearing and speaking.

· Frequent lifting in excess of 60 lbs is required.

· Must be able to hold, touch, feel and manipulate with hands product and equipment in a safe manner. Manual dexterity is required.

· Use of close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus as well as good eye-hand coordination.

· Must be able to work 40 hours a week, and overtime when necessary.

Must-haves
3+ yrs of offline die cutting operator experience (preferably with Bobst Autoplaten Sp 102 Die Cutters) Ability to perform a variety of make readies, resolve defects, troubleshoot and make adjustments.

· Offline Die Cutting experience

· Experience with die cutters that have blanking capability

· Mathematical skills (computing percentages, weights, and measures

· Ability to operate Die Cutter machines, troubleshoot, and monitor operations

Starting Salary will be based on experience.
