Per Diem School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) LaFayette, GA
This per diem position offers skilled Licensed Practical Nurses the opportunity to support students academic, behavioral, and social development within a school environment. Ideal for professionals passionate about assisting children in a structured yet nurturing setting, this role involves working closely under teacher guidance to provide individualized care and support.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 or small group academic, behavioral, and social assistance tailored to student needs
- Aid students with daily routines, classroom transitions, and active participation
- Implement behavior support strategies and adhere to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Support mobility, personal care, and supervision requirements as necessary
- Promote and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
Qualifications:
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license valid in Alabama
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years
- Compliance with TB testing per district guidelines
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when required
- Possession of current clearances or willingness to obtain them before starting
Preferred Experience:
- Background working in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare
- Experience supporting students with special needs, autism spectrum disorders, or behavioral challenges
- Certifications such as CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention), PMT (Preventive Measures Training), or RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) are advantageous
- Strong reliability, patience, and collaborative mindset
