Job Title: Wok Chef

Location: SriThai Kitchen and Sushi Bar
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Reports To: Wok Chef / Kitchen Chef

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and energetic Wok Chef to join our culinary team. This individual will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of Asian-inspired dishes using traditional wok techniques. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, has a deep understanding of Asian flavors, and maintains high standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook all menu items using a wok with precision and efficiency.
• Follow established recipes and portion control guidelines.
• Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner and meet restaurant quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the wok station and all kitchen equipment.
• Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure smooth operation during service.
• Assist with prep work, inventory rotation, and restocking as needed.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Communicate any shortages or maintenance needs to the Head Chef.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Wok Chef or in a similar role in an Asian restaurant.
• Expertise in stir-fry techniques and cooking over high heat.
• Ability to work quickly while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of Asian cuisine, especially Thai and Japanese ingredients.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and a team player.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Culinary training or certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with health and safety kitchen practices.
• Bilingual (English/Thai) is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 60 per week
