BIM Engineer (JohnsCreek)

TRCTalent is seeking a full time BIM Engineer for a leading data center group based in midtown Atlanta

The BIM Engineer plays a key role in developing, coordinating, and maintaining Building
Information Models (BIM) for Facility Operations. This position focuses on producing high quality, accurate digital models that support design, construction, and operational
readiness within the facility’s digital ecosystem. The successful candidate collaborates
with cross-functional teams to ensure precision, consistency, and adherence to industry
standards.

Responsibilities
 Develop and manage detailed 3D BIM models using Revit and Autodesk
Construction Cloud (ACC) for the design, layout, and modification of data center
facilities.
 Collaborate with architects, engineers, and internal stakeholders to translate
project requirements into accurate BIM deliverables.
 Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including floor plans,
elevation drawings, equipment layouts, and construction details.
 Support ACC folder structure setup and model organization in accordance with company
standards.
 Perform clash detection analysis and coordinate resolution of conflicts between
building systems.
 Maintain space data updates and visual model alignment with as-built conditions.
 Coordinate design changes and updates with development and Solution
Engineering teams.
 Support BIM platform user access requests within established governance
procedures.
 Participate in quality control reviews under the supervision of the BIM Manager.
 Conduct periodic site visits to verify as-built conditions and provide technical
support during construction.
 Stay current with BIM software advancements, industry trends, and emerging
technologies.
 Participate in testing of proof-of-concept BIM tools and integrations under the
direction of the BIM Manager.

Qualifications
 Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management. BIM related certifications preferred.
 2–5 years of experience in BIM modeling for facility management or construction.
 Proficiency in Revit and related BIM tools such as Revizto and ACC.
 Working understanding of BIM principles and coordination processes.
 Basic understanding of Digital Twin concepts and data integration.
 Knowledge of data center infrastructure including MEP systems and structured
cabling.
 Ability to read and interpret architectural, electrical, and mechanical drawings.
 Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate models to schedule.
 Effective communication and coordination skills.
 Ability to work independently while managing multiple active projects.
Career Path / Progression

Progression to Principal BIM Engineer or BIM Manager through demonstrated technical
mastery, leadership capability, and proactive ownership of BIM coordination and
standards.
