Superintendent

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent with a strong background in large box retail and industrial storage facility construction, including interior build-outs. This individual will lead all on-site construction activities and ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires travel to project sites across the United States.

Hours: Must have flexible schedule (Heavy Traveling)

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all field operations from project start through close-out
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel
• Develop and maintain project schedules in coordination with the Project Manager
• Ensure all work aligns with plans, specifications, and quality standards
• Enforce jobsite safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
• Conduct safety meetings and ensure OSHA compliance on all job sites
• Perform daily site walks and maintain detailed reports/documentation
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and approvals with local authorities
• Manage site logistics including deliveries, staging, and organization
• Identify and resolve field issues proactively to maintain schedule
• Lead subcontractor meetings and provide progress updates to stakeholders
• Drive project completion including punch list and final close-out

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction
• Experience with large box retail and industrial storage facilities required
• Strong background in interior construction and tenant build-outs
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively
• Proven ability to manage multiple trades and maintain schedules
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
• Experience with construction management software (Procore preferred) and Microsoft Office
