Category Manager II POST NUMBER: 482779

Vaco Atlanta is excited to partner with an impressive client in Alpharetta, GA in their search for a Category Manager II . This is a CONTRACT position for up to 4 months with possible extension for a longer period. Candidates to be considered must live in the Atlanta, GA metropolitan area as in-office work is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support strategic sourcing activities
  • Organize and lead category strategy development to optimize value
  • Manage supply market dynamics
  • Develop operational knowledge of assigned categories to better understand and strategize supply market dynamics
  • Optimize cost savings, revenue enhancements and KPI monitoring
  • Evaluate strategic suppliers
  • Achieve annual value objectives
  • Suggest process improvements
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree or certification is preferred
  • 4 years of Category management or procurement experience
  • Must possess SRM experience - proficiency reading and negotiating contracts
  • Must be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. PowerBI experience is preferred.
  • Must have a mastery of Strategic Sourcing concepts
  • Must possess solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have strong attention to detail
