Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care across MedSurg, ICU, and ED units, adapting to floating assignments including Ortho, Neuro, Oncology, and Acute Care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage patient care efficiently with typical nurse-to-patient ratios from 1:6 to 1:10, including utilizing nursing aides when available.
• Administer and monitor respiratory support including BIPAP and CPAP, with support from 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy services.
• Participate in on-call rotations and holiday schedules alongside permanent staff, maintaining flexibility with potential changing assignments during shifts.
• Maintain stringent safety and patient monitoring protocols using EMR Meditech systems and telemonitoring capabilities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of nursing experience plus 1 travel assignment, or 4 years of stable experience without travel.
• Certification requirements include BLS and ACLS for ICU/ED roles; BLS plus ASLS or NIHSS certifications for Med/Surg units.
• Familiarity with hospital protocols and the ability to function as a charge nurse when needed.
• Must demonstrate flexibility in floating across different units and adapt swiftly to shifting priorities.

Schedule:

• 12-hour shifts, rotating between 15 day shifts and 15 night shifts
• Weekend coverage every other weekend with low-census on-call requirements
