Credentialing Specialist
Location: New York, NY 10004 (Open to candidates willing to work onsite across Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens)
Duration: 9 Weeks
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $30.00 per hour
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a highly detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to manage and support all aspects of provider credentialing and clinical privileging. This role ensures full compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational requirements while maintaining accurate and up-to-date credentialing records for medical staff and allied health professionals.
This is a fully onsite position requiring strong audit, compliance, and credentialing system management experience.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and process initial credentialing, reappointments, audits, and clinical privileging for providers
Manage credentialing workflows for Medical Staff, Allied Health Professionals, and designated providers
Utilize credentialing software systems (MDStaff preferred) to track and monitor applications, verifications, and background checks
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of credentialing data
Interpret and apply hospital bylaws, corporate policies, and credentialing procedures
Maintain compliance with regulatory and accrediting agency requirements
Develop and maintain knowledge of credentialing statutes and healthcare regulations
Support internal and external audits related to credentialing activities
Communicate effectively with providers, leadership, and cross-functional departments
Required Qualifications
Prior experience in provider credentialing and privileging
Strong audit and compliance background
Proficiency with credentialing software systems (MDStaff preferred)
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to interpret regulatory, accreditation, and policy requirements
Strong written and verbal communication skills
