Travel Occupational Therapist Job

TLC Healthforce
Cumming, GA
Begin a rewarding travel assignment as an Occupational Therapist in Cumming, Georgia, where your expertise will empower individuals to reclaim independence in daily life and meaningful participation in family, school, work, and community activities. As a clinician, you will assess clients, formulate evidence-based goals, and implement personalized interventions across acute, inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings, collaborating with physicians, COTAs, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes. Your work will blend clinical skill with compassionate mentorship, guiding clients through motor planning, sensory integration, cognitive strategies, and adaptive equipment use to enhance activities of daily living and functional independence. This opportunity invites you to make a lasting impact in a state celebrated for its hospitality, culture, and resilience, where you can grow as a practitioner while enjoying the rewards of helping others regain confidence and autonomy. Georgia’s charm is woven through its landscapes and spaces—from the Blue Ridge foothills and scenic trails to serene lakes and vibrant towns—providing a backdrop that fuels both professional fulfillment and personal discovery. Whether you crave urban vibrancy or tranquil suburban rhythms, Georgia offers diverse experiences that enrich your clinical perspective and life outside work.

Location benefits: Cumming offers convenient access to outdoor recreation, family-friendly neighborhoods, and a welcoming community atmosphere, with close proximity to Atlanta’s cultural, dining, and educational opportunities. Immersed in a region known for its rich history and evolving healthcare landscape, you’ll experience a supportive local network that values collaboration and continued learning. For those who enjoy exploring beyond a single location, our nationwide program presents opportunities to work in various communities across the United States, exposing you to different care settings—pediatric and adult populations, hospital-based, outpatient clinics, and community health environments. This flexibility helps you broaden your clinical repertoire, refine assessment skills, and adapt intervention strategies to diverse contexts, all while benefiting from shared best practices and a strong travel-support framework. In addition, you’ll have access to housing assistance and logistical support designed to make transitions smooth, so you can focus on delivering exceptional care and enriching experiences. The assignment starts March 2, 2026, and is structured to provide stability and opportunities for professional development within a guaranteed 40 hours per week framework.

Role specifics and benefits: As a Travel Occupational Therapist, you’ll conduct comprehensive evaluations of functional performance, establish measurable goals, and design individualized treatment plans that address ADLs, IADLs, motor skills, cognition, sensory processing, and psychosocial factors. You’ll implement evidence-based interventions, including activity analysis, environmental modification, adaptive equipment prescription, feeding and dressing strategies, and assistive technology integration, while coordinating with families, caregivers, teachers, and other members of the care team. Documentation and outcomes tracking will be integral to your practice, ensuring continuity of care and timely discharge planning. You’ll supervise and mentor students or new clinicians when applicable, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and stay current with best practices through continuing education opportunities. The role includes competitive compensation with a weekly pay range of $1,919–$2,039, guaranteed 40 hours per week, and the chance for extension based on performance and organizational needs. We also offer housing assistance and a potential sign-on bonus as part of the benefits package. You’ll be supported by a dedicated 24/7 travel team, ready to assist you with housing, travel logistics, credentialing, and on-the-ground needs, ensuring you’re never navigating a new assignment alone. Start date is 03/02/2026, and the contract duration is defined by weeks, with ongoing opportunities for professional growth, specialization credentials, and cross-location exposure.

Company values: Our organization is committed to empowering staff through clear career pathways, mentorship, and a collaborative, respectful work environment. We invest in your continued growth, offering professional development resources, access to evidence-based practice, and opportunities to lead initiatives that advance patient outcomes. You’ll join a team that values open communication, work–life balance, recognition of achievement, and a culture of support where every clinician’s contribution is essential to the mission of delivering compassionate, high-quality care.
