Telemetry RN Job Details – Augusta, GA

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/1/2025 – End: 3/2/2026)
• Location: Augusta, Georgia 30901
• Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Telemetry Unit (36 beds, average daily census: 35)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 shifts per week
• Total Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:4-5
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Yes, as needed to other units
• Call Requirement: None
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1660 - $1700

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry RN experience in a hospital or acute care setting
• Active Georgia or Compact State RN license (must be valid at time of application)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (NIHSS certification preferred)
• Proficiency with Epic electronic charting system
• Experience managing a 1:4-5 patient ratio in a telemetry or cardiac unit
• Skilled in managing cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration): milrinone, dobutamine, amiodarone, cardizem, lidocaine, bumex, heparin
• Two supervisory references (Manager or above) highly preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements to ensure timely start

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a telemetry/cardiac unit
• Monitor, interpret, and document cardiac rhythms; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and manage IVs, including cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration)
• Care for patients with CHF, MI/chest pain, dysrhythmias, hypertension/hypotension, pleural effusion, sepsis, PE/DVT, and other vascular conditions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: IV therapy, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services
• Document patient care using Epic and follow SBAR communication protocols
• Maintain compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and quality standards
• Float to other nursing units as required by hospital needs
