Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC equipment to produce quality parts. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Remove Labor Ticket and Shop Packet, ensuring all necessary documentation is in place.
• Perform first piece inspection with Quality Control Technician or Set-up Operator.
• Engage the CNC lathe and monitor stock status to ensure materials are available.
• Run parts to meet quality and productivity standards, removing finished parts from the machine.
• Load bar stock into the hydra bar unit and stage materials for machining.
• Set up and operate machines to produce quality parts without assistance.
• Access prints and instructions, observe machine operation, and verify part conformity.
• Perform preventive maintenance and communicate information to coworkers and supervisors.
• Maintain quality by performing quality set-ups, checks, and completing required documentation.
• Participate in safety training and adhere to safety protocols, including wearing Personal Protective Equipment.
• Continuously check tooling and machining operations, perform in-process inspections, and complete necessary documentation.
• Support department and company initiatives, including cost savings and Six Sigma projects.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in CNC operations and blueprint reading.
• Experience with CNC machines, calipers, and micrometers.
• 2 or more years of related work experience.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic computer skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Machining knowledge.
• Ability to maintain quality standards and perform inspections.
• Familiarity with quality and machine shop procedures.

Work Environment

Our facility employs approximately 125 individuals on the shop floor. We are currently hiring for the 2nd shift (Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM to 12 AM) and the 3rd shift (Sunday to Thursday, 12 AM to 7:30 AM). The work environment is safety-focused and supportive of team initiatives, with a shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gainesville, GA.

The pay range for this position is $19.43 - $23.69/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Gainesville,GA.
