Providence Veterinary Clinic is looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant with a passion for patient care to join our team. This individual should be able to work full time and on Saturdays. We have a training program for our technicians and assistants to ensure the highest quality care is provided to our patients.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic
- Minimum 1 year experience working in a veterinary clinic as a veterinary assistant
Skills and Responsibilities
- Friendly with a positive attitude
- Run and monitoring anesthesia
- Perform dental prophylaxis
- Provide inpatient and outpatient care
- Perform digital radiography procedures; including dental radiographs
- Providing client education on a variety of topics
- Must be able to lift and carry an object or pet weighing up to 30lbs
- Handle and restrain pets as needed
- Other duties assigned
