Your role and responsibilities:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced leader to join our team and spearhead our electrification initiatives with general contractors. This role will have a focus in developing our position with a strategic group of national General Contractors.

The General Contractor Segment Leader - Electrification will be responsible for leading and managing the electrification low and medium voltage product line opportunities. This role involves strategic planning, business development, and cross-functional collaboration to drive the adoption and integration of ABB Electrification products and solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the electrification industry, with a preferred understanding of the national general contracting industry and players as well as a proven track record of leadership and achievement of results.

This role is open for remote candidates across the US with the ability to travel an approximate 35 - 50% of the time. Strongly preferring candidates located in Eastern or Central Time Zones to be able to best meet the needs of internal and external customers. (#LI-Remote)

Key Aspects of the Role:

• Maintain pipeline of key strategic general contractor opportunities by working with the sales and marketing teams. Candidate would be responsible for meeting or exceeding the annual budget for the segment. Additionally, this person will represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote our electrification efforts and build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
• Monitor general contractor trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
• Responsible for segment analysis including consolidation of input from different regions, tracking trends that could impact business and translate this into review of the business situation, consolidation of recommendations on how to win in the segment together with a solid plan for winning business.
• Contributing to the consolidation of input for technical roadmap based on customer/OEMs needs and pain points. Work internally to bridge product gaps for the general contractor segment.

Qualifications for the role:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or related field (or significant experience in lieu of degree)
• Strong understanding of the general contractor market, including technology trends, regulatory requirements, and competitive landscape.
• Business/strategic thinker and relationship builder.
• Minimum 8 years of experience within the electrification and/or data center industries. General contractor experience is a plus.
• Experience in conducting market analysis and business development plans with solid structured approach.
• Technical background, experience in the electrical contracting market preferred
• Willingness to travel as needed (an estimated 35 - 50%)
• Strong communication, team player, collaboration mindset, and leadership skills with agile mindset
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the United States.

ABB provides 11 paid holidays. Salaried exempt positions are provided vacation under a permissive time away policy.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $116,200 and $185,920 annually and is eligible for a short-term incentive plan/annual bonus.
