Construction Manager
- Construction Project Management (e.g. observation of the construction work, project progress reports, project team coordination for all construction submittals, direct client and CMF coordination, timely delivery of responses to all construction submittals, RFI’s, RFC’s, CO’s, etc.).
- QA/QC reviews and compliance.
- Function as Onsite Safety Officer (will be trained upon hiring).
- Work with Construction Contractor in expediting solutions to technical field problems.
- Review all construction submittals.
- Coordinate directly with Lead Design Engineer and Design Team discipline leads on all design changes and construction submittals.
- Participate in the negotiation of change orders specific to design changes.
- Notification to the client of any observed work that does not conform to the requirements of the contract documents.
- Participate in and document all construction meetings onsite (e.g. daily tailgate/safety meetings, weekly construction meetings, etc.); and
- Meet document control requirements, including filing of all construction-related documents
- Certified Construction Manager OR Professional Engineer (PE).
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or another related field.
- Minimum of eight plus (10+)-years’ professional experience in the design and/or construction engineering fields.
- Have supervised two (2) completed construction projects in the field, including the following:
- minimum of $50 million construction value for each project.
- held a lead role (e.g. Lead Technical Engineer/Project Manager/Engineer-of-Record/Construction Manager) on at least one (1) of the two (2) projects; and
- supervised construction related to vertical and horizontal infrastructure; and
- Strong knowledge of applicable codes and regulations.
- Minimum of ten plus (10+)-years’ experience in the design and/or construction engineering fields, specifically related to construction management.
- Ability to work in teams, respond to changing demands, be decisive under pressure, and can remain calm when interfacing with internal and external personnel.
- Experience in construction contract administration and/or management.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Construction cost estimating and scheduling experience.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to handle tools or equipment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Occasional climbing, kneeling, bending, or crawling may be required.
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions and in high, precarious places.
