osition Summary

The Rack Puller is responsible for ensuring production lines are supplied with the correct automotive components and materials by pulling, transporting, and staging racks according to production schedules. This position plays a critical role in maintaining continuous production flow and supporting Hwashin Georgia's commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Pull and deliver racks of automotive components, raw materials, and production supplies to designated assembly, welding, and production areas.
• Verify part numbers, quantities, and rack locations before delivery.
• Maintain proper FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory practices when supplying materials.
• Return empty racks, containers, and damaged materials to designated storage areas.
• Ensure production lines remain stocked to prevent downtime.
• Monitor material levels and notify supervisors or logistics personnel of shortages.
• Safely operate material handling equipment such as tuggers, pallet jacks, or forklifts (if certified and authorized).
• Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and material audits as required.
• Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and work instructions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.
• Support continuous improvement activities and assist other departments as needed.
• Complete required documentation and material movement records accurately.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or automotive production environments preferred.
• Ability to read production schedules, labels, and work instructions.
• Basic computer and scanning device skills preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Frequently bend, squat, reach, push, and pull materials.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to push and pull loaded racks safely throughout the facility.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and various shifts as required by production demands.

Work Environment

• Automotive manufacturing facility.
• Exposure to moving machinery, forklifts, tuggers, and production equipment.
• Required use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, and other PPE as required.
• Fast-paced production environment with daily production targets.
