Human Resources Director

Job Summary: Oversees all human resources functions within the dealership, including recruitment, employee relations, training, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws and regulations. This role is integral in supporting a productive and engaged workforce, ensuring that HR practices align with dealership objectives, and fostering a positive and compliant work environment. Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage hiring processes, collaborate with managers, and lead orientations.
- Employee Relations: Address concerns, resolve conflicts, and promote engagement initiatives.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to labor laws and maintain accurate HR documentation.
- Training & Development: Design and implement training programs; support performance and leadership growth.
- Benefits: Administer benefits and assist with compensation planning.
- HR Policies: Develop and enforce policies; maintain the employee handbook.
- Performance Management: Oversee reviews and support employee development.
- Safety & Risk: Coordinate safety programs and manage incident investigations.
- Reporting & Strategy: Track HR metrics and advise leadership on workforce planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in human resources management, preferably in an automotive dealership or similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations, employee relations, and benefits administration.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) is preferred.
- Knowledge of Netchex preferred but not required
- Knowledge of CDK preferred but not required
- Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and through digital channels.
- Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds, such as carrying employee files or office supplies.
