Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Step Down Unit Duration: Contract Shift: Varied Hours per Shift: 48 hours Experience: 2 years License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: 2 years of experience, ACLS and BLS certifications Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for a Medical Step Down Unit. This unit has 16-20 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1 to 4. Patients will present with various conditions including sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes mellitus, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and demonstrate the ability to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is essential to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Strong communication skills are required to effectively educate patients and their families.
