Position Summary
Chroma Early Learning Academy is seeking a dependable and energetic Floater / Afterschool Teacher to support classrooms throughout the day and provide engaging supervision for school-age children during afterschool hours. This role is ideal for someone flexible, collaborative, and passionate about working with children of varying ages. Duties Key Responsibilities
- Support classrooms as needed to maintain proper teacher-to-child ratios
- Assist lead teachers with daily routines, activities, and transitions
- Provide supervision and enrichment activities for afterschool students
- Create a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment
- Build positive relationships with children and encourage appropriate behavior
- Follow all licensing, safety, and Chroma Early Learning Academy policies
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom and shared spaces
- Communicate effectively with team members and leadership
- High school diploma or equivalent (CDA or childcare coursework preferred)
- Experience working with children in a childcare or afterschool setting preferred
- Ability to work with multiple age groups
- Flexible, reliable, and team-oriented
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to meet all Georgia DECAL and licensing requirements
- Flexible hours; may include mornings, afternoons, and afterschool hours
- Additional hours available based on center needs
- CPR Certification
- Previous experience in childcare
