Die Cutter Operator
ARC Group has an immediate opportunity for a Die Cutter Operator! This position is onsite in Peachtree City, GA. Operates Offline Die Cutter Machine to develop end-result printed material in accordance with customer specifications:
- Operate Die Cutter machine, troubleshoot and monitor operation.
- Prepares Die Cutter by performing a variety of tasks to produce a consistent, high quality product by adjusting the die and register for pressure and cutting.
- Perform a variety of make ready tasks for high productivity and precision operations, resolves defects and adjustments to produce high quality product.
- Oversee General technicians working on equipment.
- Make adjustments, clear jams, while processing product, maintaining speed and quality.
- Ensure efficient and rapid make ready, with unloading and loading.
- Ensure quality of jobs completed by reviewing for quality and accuracy.
- Makes sure jobs are complete and error free.
- Ensures finished product exceeds customer expectations.
- Ensure all checklists are completed.
- Support and communicate all ISO standards and quality objectives.
- Complies with cGMP, HACCP Food Safety Requirements and Chain of Custody Program Requirements.
- Ensures complete adherence and compliance to the OHSE policies. Assists team members in maintaining clean and safe environment.
- Maintains and follows all company policies and procedures for safety, personal protection and hazard materials/waste handling according to established guidelines.
- Follows all personal protection procedures by use of appropriate PPE at all times.
- Follows established procedures and guidelines for the handling and disposal of all hazardous materials/waste.
- Maintains and wears proper uniform according to company policy.
- Use Company provided safety lifting equipment, i.e., hoist, jacks, vacuum manipulators, etc.
- Properly stores and arranges work area to maintain cleanliness and safe environment following all safety rules and regulations for grounding, storage, spill clean-up, etc.
- Interacts with the team and co-workers in a way that promotes respect, encourages cooperation and contributes to excellent performance
- Communicates accurate information to all team members in a professional and courteous manner that conveys a willingness to assist.
- Accepts direction and feedback from supervisor and follows through appropriately.
- Create and maintain a high performance environment characterized by positive leadership and strong team orientation.
- Develop the team and encourage each member to do what needs to be done, correctly and efficiently. Get it right the first time.
- Communicates regularly with team toward goals and required results, providing specific feedback and initiating corrective action when goals or results are not met.
- Motivate crew to improve quantity and quality of work performed and provide training as required.
- Consistently uses appropriate established channels of communication.
- Conduct team meetings when necessary.
- High School diploma (or GED).
- Minimum of 3 years of offline Die Cutting experience in the folding carton industry
- Must have experience with die cutters that have blanking capability
- Must have interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must possess basic computer skills and mathematical skills necessary to compute percentages, weights and measures.
- Must be able to perform any and all work or additional tasks as required or requested by Department Leads, Shift Leads, or Management.
- This position requires prolonged periods of standing, stooping, bending and/or reaching, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching with hands and arms, hearing and speaking.
- Frequent lifting in excess of 60 lbs is required.
- Must be able to hold, touch, feel and manipulate with hands product and equipment in a safe manner. Manual dexterity is required.
- Use of close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus as well as good eye-hand coordination.
- Must be able to rotate shifts and be available to work in excess of 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week when necessary to meet customer product needs.
3+ yrs of offline die cutting operator experience (preferably with Cleveland or Bobst die cutters). Ability to perform a variety of make readies, resolve defects, troubleshoot and make adjustments. Required Skills
