Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 1 year required; first-timers accepted; charge experience preferred License: Valid RN License (GA or Compact) required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Experience with medical surgical and remote telemetry - Familiarity with electronic health record systems Description: We are seeking a registered nurse specializing in medical surgical nursing for a 14-week assignment. The nurse will care for adult and geriatric patients with various diagnoses including diabetes, post-operative conditions, wound care, and bariatrics. The nurse will work night shifts for 12 hours each, and will be responsible for a patient ratio of 5 to 6. The unit consists of 33 beds with an average daily census of 28 patients. The team provides interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory care, and pharmacy services. The ideal candidate should possess essential skills such as blood product administration, chest tube management, feeding tube care, and telemetry monitoring. Floating within the facility is required as needed. The candidate must comply with all required documentation and orientation processes prior to starting. Success in this role involves effective communication and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Participation in holiday staffing is expected as outlined in the scheduling policies.
