Description
We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Radiology . In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to our clients in Thomasville. Your expertise will be vital in diagnosing and treating patients through various imaging techniques, ensuring accurate and timely medical care. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse medical cases and contribute to the well-being of individuals in need of radiological services.
As a Locum MD or DO in Radiology, you will be involved in a wide range of projects, from conducting diagnostic imaging procedures to interpreting results and collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care. Your role will be instrumental in maintaining the high standard of medical services we provide, while also gaining valuable experience in a dynamic and fast-paced healthcare environment. Responsibilities:
- Performing and interpreting diagnostic imaging tests such as X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and ultrasounds.
- Collaborating with other physicians and healthcare professionals to determine the best course of treatment for patients.
- Ensuring the accuracy and quality of radiology reports and maintaining patient records.
- Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines when operating radiology equipment.
- Providing guidance and support to medical staff and patients regarding radiological procedures.
- Staying current with advancements in radiology technology and techniques.
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment plans.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and ethical practices in radiology.
Requirements:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Radiology or eligibility for board certification.
- Valid state medical license to practice as a Radiologist in Thomasville.
- Strong knowledge of radiology procedures, techniques, and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in interpreting diagnostic images and reports.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and maintaining confidentiality.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2-3 weeks per month
Weeknight and weekend call shifts required
Daily Volume: 8-14 procedures
Procedures : GI bleeds, biopsies, PCNLs, bread and butter
Support Staff: APPs
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
Paid travel & expenses
