Maintenance Mechanic

Are you a master of your craft who loves solving complex puzzles? We are looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to join our high-energy HVAC team in Cairo! In this position, you aren't just "fixing things"—you are the backbone of our plant’s reliability. You will tackle a dynamic range of challenges, from maintaining complex production equipment to participating in the assembly of brand-new machinery. You’ll have the autonomy to plan your own work, making critical decisions on equipment safety and reliability that your teammates depend on. What You’ll Do

• Master the Machines: Perform a wide variety of repairs on complex mechanical and electrical equipment using prints, schematics, and diagrams.

• Precision Work: Dismantle complicated units, determine the extent of repairs, and reassemble with perfect synchronization and timing.

• Electrical Expertise: Install and repair circuits, conduits, transformers, and motors, ensuring everything from variable speed motors to automatic controls runs smoothly.

• Plant-Wide Impact: Maintain utility systems, air conditioning, and compressors, while also handling routine carpentry, plumbing, and lift truck repairs.

• Innovate: Construct special parts, designs, and attachments tailored for specific plant or machine needs. What You Bring to the Table

• The Skills: Proficiency in at least two primary craft skills and a working knowledge of others. You should be an expert with shop equipment and possess a mechanical aptitude (electrical proficiency is a huge plus!).

• The Experience: 5+ years of experience is preferred.

• The Education: A high school diploma or GED is required. We highly value candidates with a completed formal apprenticeship or a 2-year associate degree in a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Provides general and preventative maintenance for all production, process and service equipment.
• Maintains utility systems, buildings, service systems.
• Participates in the in-plant assembly of new equipment or modification of existing equipment.
• Repair and maintain complex mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Works from prints, schematics, diagrams, or general instructions.
• Make decisions on the reliability and safety of operating equipment.
• Repair or replace defective parts or wiring and reassembles.
• Install and repair electrical circuits, conduits, switch gear, transformers, motors, and automatic controls.
• Maintains utility systems, air conditioning, air compressors, routine carpentry or plumbing repairs.
• Keeps necessary machine records.
• Basic repairs on lift trucks.
• Assists other departments with troubleshooting.

The essential functions of this role include:

• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 25lbs
