Peoplelink Staffing Solutions in partnership with a prominent client in Augusta, GA within the engineer glass material industry.
Production Technician I Job Summary:
· $20.00 per hour
· Rotating shifts: 7am-7pm and 7pm to 7am- Rotating schedule
. Operates all processes in a safe manner and with HSE rules and regulations
. Sets up, prepares and monitors machines/equipment used for packaging.
. Operates equipment such as hand bagger, Robot/Palletizer, automated bagger, heat sealer, sifters and other equipment required to perform duties.
. Completes all Production Technician duties to fulfill production needs.
. Package boxes, sacks and cartons.
. Label all packages.
. Pull screening and finished product samples.
. Enter production into the Access database and on packaging log.
. Change out process waste boxes.
. Assist in changing Rotex screens.
. Elevate coating materials to storage tanks.
. Set up boric acid bags.
. Participate in shift turnover meetings; complete shift turnover checklist.
. Perform in process quality checks.
. Maintain good housekeeping.
. Participates in HSE activities.
. Work safely and actively participate in established plant safety process/programs such as Behavioral Based Safety (BBS), hazard ID’s, near misses, safety work orders, job safety analysis (JSA), Is it Safe Tour and computer-based safety training.
. Additional duties assigned by Manager, as needed.

Production Technician I Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED equivalent.
· Two (2) to five (5) years in the chemical manufacturing industry.
· Forklift certification / experience a MUST.
. Attention to detail
. Adheres to all safety policies
